Every week, Combat Press will rank each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including both genders).

The UFC is going to be hard-pressed to not give Frankie Edgar a title shot at the winner of the UFC 189 title clash between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. Edgar put together a vintage performance against Urijah Faber in the UFC Fight Night 66 main event, using his speed and footwork to outpoint the former champion. But it wasn’t all bad for Faber as the former WEC kingpin proved he could still compete with the division’s elite. Even in defeat, Faber moves into the No. 9 slot in our rankings, bumping Brazilian Charles Oliveira from the top 10.
