As MMA continues to grow its presence with the UFC, Bellator MMA, WSOF and ONE FC, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the eyes (and rankings) of the media.
Every week, Combat Press will rank each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including both genders).
Note: the numbers in parentheses represent the fighter’s ranking from last week.

There were no changes in our rankings this week, but after the UFC Fight Night 65 main event between sixth-ranked Stipe Miocic and seventh-ranked Mark Hunt, there’s certainly a proverbial gap between the two spots. Miocic put together his most complete performance in the Octagon, while Hunt looked out of sync throughout. Miocic mixed in wrestling with his boxing, and there’s a strong case that the fight could’ve been stopped much sooner than the fifth round. Miocic appears ready for another top-five opponent, whereas it might be time for Hunt to hang up his gloves.
