Eduardo Dantas (L) faces off with Leandro Higo (Lucas Noonan/Bellator MMA)

Bellator 177: Dantas vs. Higo Weigh-in Results

On Friday, April 14, Bellator MMA will host its 177th event from the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary. The card is a joint event with Bellator Kickboxing 6.

In the night’s main event, the promotion’s bantamweight title was supposed to be on the line between Brazilians Eduardo Dantas and Leandro Higo. However, Higo missed weight and the fight was changed to a three-round, non-title affair. The 28-year-old Dantas recaptured the belt last summer, defeating Marcos Galvao for a second time. Dantas then exacted revenge against Joe Warren in December. Higo, meanwhile, will be making his promotional debut following a stint as the RFA champion. “Pitbull” also appeared on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4.

The action kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. ET. The four-fight main card airs via same day tape-delay on Spike TV at 9 p.m ET.
