On Friday, Sept. 2, Lion Fight hosted its 31st event from the Foxwoods Casino and Resort in Mashantucket, Conn. The night’s main card aired live on AXS TV.

In the main event of the evening, women’s welterweight champion Jorina Baars put her title and unbeaten record on the line against Puerto Rico’s Angela Whitley.

Joining the main event were three additional title contests. Gaston Bolanos battled Tum Sityodtong for the super lightweight title, Iman Barlow and Jeri Sitzes met for the super bantamweight title, and recently crowned lightweight queen Antonina Shevchenko clashed with Paola Cappucci.
