Every week, Combat Press will rank each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including all genders).

The most surprising result of the week came in the 205-pound division, where former interim title challenger Ovince Saint Preux was upset by Swiss newcomer Volkan Oezdemir at UFC Fight Night 104 in Houston. OSP came out flat and lacked urgency, leading to the split decision loss and his exit from the rankings.

“The Korean Zombie” is back. South Korea’s Chan Sung Jung had been out of action, due to military service, since a title defeat to José Aldo at UFC 163, but he quickly jumped back into contention at UFC Fight Night 104. Jung survived getting rocked by an overhand right from opponent Dennis Bermudez before delivering a right uppercut that sent Bermudez crashing to the canvas unconscious. The win moved Jung into the No. 9 spot in the rankings, bumping both Patricio Freire and Yair Rodriguez out of their tie for 10th place.
