If you think you heard crickets during the show, it’s not dead air.
Serving as a third host, Laura Sanko (@Laura_Sanko) — and her crickets — joined Joe Rizzo (@RearNakedChoke) and Jay Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) to talk Invicta FC 18, UFC 201, the state of women’s MMA , Bellator MMA and Michael “Venom” Page.

Sanko, who handles in-cage post-fight interviews for Invicta FC, broke down Invicta FC 18, which takes place on July 29 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. Sanko talked about the main event, a bout featuring Alexa Grasso vs. Jodie Esquibel, as well as other notable names on the card, such as Jessamyn Duke, Mizuki Inoue, Peggy Morgan and more.
Sanko makes her Fox Sports 1 debut at UFC Fight Night 92 on Aug. 6, and she’s paying close attention to what’s going on in the Octagon. The welterweight title is on the line on July 30, when champion Robbie Lawler attempts to defend his belt against Tyron Woodley at UFC 201. Sanko talked about the fight and other bouts on the card, including a women’s strawweight co-main event match between Rose Namajunas and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
Kelly brought up a question Sanko asked him nearly two years ago on Rear-Naked Choke Radio, regarding the stability of women’s MMA. The trio of hosts found answers, and talked about the growth of women’s MMA and the depth of star-status female combatants.
At Bellator 158, “Venom” shattered Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos’ forehead with a wicked flying knee. Sanko talked about being a fan of Page and how she and Rizzo have once again begun to embrace Bellator.
