BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing returns to the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday, Oct. 23, with a 12-fight lineup for Bally’s Fightnight by BKB Biloxi at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Miss. BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing
Former BKB lightweight champion Jarod “Kid Gatti” Grant will meet late replacement Pantera Guerrero in the super-lightweight main event. Guerrero replaces Bekhzod “The Lion” Usmonov, giving Grant a new assignment as he attempts to work his way back toward the top of the division.
Grant enters the contest with an 8-3 bare-knuckle record and six knockouts. Guerrero stands at 1-1 with one knockout and now receives the biggest opportunity of his young BKB career.
The co-main event features the return of undefeated super-featherweight prospect Amado Vargas. The son of former world boxing champion Fernando Vargas will face debuting Colin Huntington.
Vargas compiled an unbeaten professional boxing record before transitioning to bare-knuckle competition. He made an emphatic BKB debut in July, stopping his opponent in the opening round at BKB 57. The 25-year-old now looks to build momentum in his second appearance inside the Trigon.
“I had a great debut, but I’m not satisfied with just one win,” Vargas said in the promotion’s announcement. “I want to keep building my name in BKB.”
The card also includes a compelling middleweight contest between reigning BKB light-heavyweight champion Cub “The Savage” Hawkins and undefeated Rowdy Montgomery. Hawkins, a two-division BKB champion, will drop in weight as he pursues his record-extending 11th victory inside the Trigon.
Montgomery enters at 2-0 and has the opportunity to accelerate his climb with a win over one of the promotion’s most accomplished fighters. Hawkins has stopped nine of his 10 BKB opponents, making Montgomery’s defensive discipline a central question in the matchup.
Former BKB heavyweight champion “Hurricane” Ike Villanueva will meet Cody “Bullet Train” East in a bridgerweight attraction. Both fighters previously competed in the UFC, and their combined finishing ability gives the card another matchup unlikely to require the judges.
Villanueva owns a 5-3 BKB record with four knockouts. East is 2-1 in bare-knuckle competition, with both victories coming by knockout.
Biloxi’s Monica “Phenomamom” Medina will receive a hometown assignment against Claudia “Phoenix” Zamora in a lightweight bout. Medina, a former BKB lightweight champion, looks to rebound in front of a familiar Mississippi crowd, while the undefeated Zamora attempts to build on a successful knockout debut.
Louisiana finisher Brandon “The Shredder” Shavers brings a 5-1 record and five knockouts into his super-middleweight meeting with German Ramos. Tunica, Miss., prospect Jeff Denton will also seek to preserve his perfect record when he faces Cody Jenkins at super welterweight.
The remaining lineup includes Caleb Austin against Jorge Bargallo, Dillon Winemiller against Terrell Glynn, Doug Freeman against Adam Nash, Aquasha Rapley against Miranda Barber, and Devin Wallace against Jerry Dutchover.
Bally’s Fightnight by BKB Biloxi begins at 8 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. CT. The event will stream through the Bally Sports Live digital platforms, BallySports.com and the Stadium free ad-supported television channel. Tickets are available through BKBTickets.com/Biloxi.
