On Saturday, Aug. 1, OKTAGON hosted OKTAGON 93 live from Central Tennis Court Slávie in Prague, Czechia. And it’s fair to say it didn’t go very well for one of Europe’s premier MMA promotions.
In the main event Denmark’s Jonas Mågård upset the hometown fans by finishing Radek Roušal with a guillotine in the third round. That improved Mågård’s record to 8-2 with OKTAGON. His only losses to the promotion are to former and future champions Felipe Lima and Igor Severino. Roušal came into this one riding a four fight winning streak with all those wins coming by KO/TKO.
In the co-main event Czechia lost again! This time it was Germany\s Kennedy Rayomba taking a decision over Andrey Kalašnik. As a whole, though, Czechia did do pretty well on the night.
Vladimír Lengál finished Maurice Adorf and Daniel Ligocki knocked out Brajan Przysiwek. Czechs also won the two ‘stand and bang’ fights on the card. Josef Hála took out Radovan Úškrt with body punches and Robin Fošum ended Dustin Rabiega with a left hook.
A Czech also scored the best finish of the night, with Jakub Dohnal using a spinning wheel kick to beat Vojto Barborik.
The event aired live on OKTAGON.tv starting at noon ET. Check below for the full OKTAGON 93 results.
