BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing is bringing an all-UK main event to London when former IBF featherweight world champion “Lightning” Lee Selby faces undefeated bare-knuckle fighter Ollie Sentance.
BKB 61 takes place Saturday, Nov. 14, at indigo at The O2 in London, England. Tickets are on sale now through BKB61.com.
The matchup pits Selby’s championship-level professional boxing experience against a hungry opponent who has stopped both of his bare-knuckle foes.
Selby Returns After Successful BKB Debut
Selby (1-0, 1 KO) made his move into bare-knuckle boxing at BKB 55 in June. The native of Barry, Wales, stopped Antonio Rizzo by second-round TKO in his promotional debut.
Now, the former IBF champion returns to the Trigon for his first BKB main event.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Trigon and fighting in London again,” Selby said.
Selby expects Sentance to bring the fight to him and believes the matchup will deliver a proper battle for the British crowd.
Before entering bare-knuckle boxing, Selby built a decorated career in the traditional ring. He captured the IBF featherweight championship and held multiple titles during his rise through the professional ranks. That pedigree makes him the most recognizable name in the matchup, but the bare-knuckle experience between the two fighters is nearly even.
Sentance Looks to Add Former World Champion to Résumé
Sentance (2-0, 2 KOs) enters the biggest fight of his young bare-knuckle career with consecutive stoppage victories.
The Kidderminster, Worcestershire, fighter has experience across mixed martial arts and kickboxing. He made his BKB debut in February, stopping Nico Earwaker by fourth-round TKO at BKB 51. Sentance returned at BKB 55 and finished Corey Healey in the second round.
He will now attempt to add a former boxing world champion to his résumé.
“This is bare-knuckle boxing, and when we step into the Trigon, none of that matters,” Sentance said.
Sentance acknowledged Selby’s accomplishments but made it clear that he views BKB 61 as an opportunity to test himself against one of the biggest names in the sport.
Experience Meets Momentum at BKB 61
Selby will enter with a significant advantage in professional boxing experience. Sentance, however, has twice as many appearances in the Trigon and has yet to see the judges’ scorecards.
That creates a compelling main-event dynamic. Selby has fought at the sport’s highest levels and looked comfortable in his BKB debut. Sentance has built momentum through two stoppages and now gets the chance to prove he belongs opposite a former world champion.
BKB has not announced the rest of the BKB 61 lineup. Additional matchups are expected to be revealed ahead of the promotion’s return to London.
