Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is headed to Glasgow, Scotland, for the first time, and the promotion is bringing a championship grudge match with it.
BKFC will make its Glasgow debut on Saturday, Nov. 7, when BKFC Fight Night Glasgow takes over the OVO Hydro. In the main event, BKFC UK light-heavyweight champion Conor “Da Crook” Cooke puts his title on the line against undefeated Scottish contender Sean “The Butcher” Weir.
The matchup pits the 6-1 Cooke against the 3-0 Weir in what figures to provide an appropriate centerpiece for BKFC’s first trip to Glasgow. For Cooke, it will be another title defense on hostile ground. For Weir, it is an opportunity to capture BKFC gold in front of a hometown Scottish crowd.
Cooke captured the BKFC UK light-heavyweight championship with a dominant decision victory over Matt Hodgson at BKFC 68 in November 2024. The Irishman followed that performance with a pair of successful title defenses in 2025, stopping Stevie Taylor in the opening round in March before scoring a third-round knockout of Anthony Holmes in December.
Now, Cooke will travel into enemy territory with his championship once again at stake.
“I’m real excited for my upcoming fight with Sean Weir,” Cooke said in the promotion’s press release. “Once again, I have accepted to travel to my opponent’s backyard, even as the champion, but I know the Hydro will be electric.”
Cooke expects the matchup to deliver exactly the type of action BKFC fans have come to expect.
“This fight is one not to be missed,” Cooke said. “Two men at the top of the game, both willing to leave everything in the ring. This will NOT go the distance!”
Standing across from the champion will be one of Scotland’s emerging bare-knuckle talents.
Weir has made quick work of his recent opposition while building an undefeated BKFC record. He knocked out Joe Lister in the second round in September 2025 before stopping Hodgson in the opening round in March. The latter victory provided another connection between the two main-event fighters, with both Cooke and Weir holding victories over Hodgson.
However, Weir will face the biggest test of his bare-knuckle career when he steps into the ring with Cooke.
“Glasgow is going to be a special night,” Weir said. “This is more than just another fight for me. I’ve put everything into getting to this position.”
The challenger acknowledged Cooke’s accomplishments but made it clear he has been looking for the opportunity to test himself against the division’s best.
“I respect what Conor Cooke has achieved and I know the level of fighter I’m stepping in with, but I’ve asked for the best because I want to prove I belong at the top,” Weir said. “On fight night, in front of a Scottish crowd, I’m coming to leave absolutely everything in there. Expect a war.”
The event also represents another step in BKFC’s continued international expansion. According to BKFC founder and president David Feldman, Scotland will become the 16th country to host an event for the promotion.
“We’re beyond thrilled to promote our first event in Glasgow, Scotland, at the OVO Hydro,” Feldman said. “Cooke versus Weir is a true high-stakes title battle between two arch-rivals.”
Additional bouts for BKFC Fight Night Glasgow are expected to be announced ahead of the event.
