The Professional Fighters League returns to Belgium on Saturday, May 23, with a welterweight main event that pairs a surging hometown prospect against a former world champion.
PFL Brussels takes place at the ING Arena, where unbeaten Patrick “The Belgian Bomber” Habirora (8-0) puts his record on the line against former UFC titleholder Benson Henderson (30-12).
Ranked No. 10 at welterweight, Habirora has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s top rising talents, scoring seven of his eight wins by knockout or TKO. He made his loudest statement in December at PFL Lyon, flattening Kevin Jousset in the first round before sealing the finish with ground-and-pound. Now, on home soil, he faces the biggest name of his career with a chance to vault into true contender status.
Henderson, a former WEC and UFC champion, brings nearly two decades of elite experience. Victories over Nate Diaz, Frankie Edgar (twice), and Jorge Masvidal underscore the depth of his résumé. After sharpening his skills across grappling, karate, wrestling, and boxing, “Smooth” returns to MMA intent on proving that championship pedigree still matters in a division growing younger by the year.
Pre-sale tickets open Tuesday, Mar. 3 at 12 p.m. CET, with general sales beginning Wednesday, Mar. 4 at 12 p.m. CET via pfl.info/brussels. The event streams in the U.S. on the ESPN App for subscribers to the ESPN Unlimited plan.
In Brussels, a rising prospect meets a proven champion—an undefeated record against enduring legacy.
