On Saturday, February 21, KSW hosted KSW 115, live from Hala RCS in Lubin, Poland. The main event had gold on the line with the popular Sebastian Przybysz taking on his latest challenger, Vitalii Yakymenko. This was Przybysz’s second title defense since he reclaimed the belt with a win over Bruno Azevedo last year (a title he had previously lost to recent UFC signing Jakub Wiklacz).
He was upset this night, though, losing the belt to the relatively unheralded Ukrainian, who was only appearing in his second ever KSW bout (having beaten Rogerio Bontorin in his debut last year).
Yakymenko took advantage of a flat looking Przybysz, who seemed to fade down the stretch, this night to earn the most significant belt of his career. The 29 year-old also improved his pro record to 11-2.
Polish fans weren’t happy with this card, though. The event ended with all but two fights going to a decision. The only stoppages were submissions in the first two fights of the night. What followed were largely forgettable decisions.
The event aired live on KSWTV.com starting at 1 p.m. ET. Check below for full results.
