Ken Shamrock’s Valor Bare Knuckle Debuts Sept. 21 in North Dakota

One of MMA’s most recognizable names is entering the world of bare-knuckle boxing.

UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE superstar Ken Shamrock has announced the creation of Valor Bare Knuckle. The promotion, which is based out of Cheyenne, Wyo., will host its first event on Saturday, Sept. 21 from the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, N.D.

The card will be headlined by a four-man heavyweight tournament featuring a number of familiar faces to combat sports fans. UFC veterans Mark Godbeer, Jack May and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will be joined by MMA and kickboxing veteran Siala-Mou “Mighty Mo” Siliga. The semifinal pairings have yet to be determined by the promotion.

In addition the tournament, decorated boxer Ishe Smith takes on UFC veteran Estevan Payan in the card’s co-main event.

The fight card will air live on pay-per-view for $29.99 through iNDEMAND, DirectTV, DISH, VUBIQUITY, Bell TV, Shaw Communications, Rogers and SaskTel in Canada, as well as Combat Press (via Fite.tv).
