On Saturday, March 23, the UFC hosted UFC on ESPN+ 6: Thompson vs. Pettis from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
In the night’s main event, former welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson took on former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. Thompson looked to get back in the column following a contentious decision defeat to Darren Till last May. Pettis debuted at 170 pounds having alternated wins and losses over his last six Octagon appearances, falling to Tony Ferguson in October.
The 12-fight event kicked off with six preliminary-card bouts streaming on ESPN+ at 5 p.m. ET. The six-fight main card followed at 8 p.m. ET, also on ESPN+.
