As MMA continues to grow its presence with the UFC, Bellator MMA, WSOF and ONE Championship, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the eyes (and rankings) of the media.

Every week, Combat Press will rank each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including all genders).

Note: the numbers in parentheses represent the fighter’s ranking from last week.

At 43 years of age, Mark Hunt is still a force in the heavyweight division, and he proved it in the UFC Fight Night 110 headliner against Derrick Lewis. Hunt was patient with his offense, forcing Lewis to tire throughout the fight. In round four, Hunt went for the kill and the referee saved Lewis from further punishment. Hunt remains planted in the No. 8 spot in the rankings, while Lewis slides to No. 10 after seeing his six-fight winning streak snapped.

Ben Nguyen flipped the flyweight top 10 upside down at UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand by putting away recent title challenger Tim Elliott in less than a minute. The upset win vaults Nguyen into the top 10 and into a tie with ninth-place Dustin Ortiz. Elliott, meanwhile, falls all the way from fifth to 10th with the loss.
