Eduardo Dantas (L) faces off with Leandro Higo (Lucas Noonan/Bellator MMA)

Bellator 177: Dantas vs. Higo Weigh-in Results

On Friday, April 14, Bellator MMA will host its 177th event from the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary. The card is a joint event with Bellator Kickboxing 6.

In the night’s main event,┬áthe promotion’s bantamweight title was supposed to be on the line between Brazilians Eduardo Dantas and Leandro Higo. However, Higo missed weight and the fight was changed to a three-round, non-title affair. The 28-year-old Dantas recaptured the belt last summer, defeating Marcos Galvao for a second time. Dantas then exacted revenge against Joe Warren in December. Higo, meanwhile, will be making his promotional debut following a stint as the RFA champion. “Pitbull” also appeared on┬áThe Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4.

The action kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. ET. The four-fight main card airs via same day tape-delay on Spike TV at 9 p.m ET.
