Titan FC 39 Results: Cavalcante Crushes Healy, Claims Lightweight Gold

Titan Fighting Championship returned to Florida on Friday, June 10, for Titan FC 39: Cavalcante vs. Healy.Ā The card marked the promotion’s sixth live offering on UFC Fight Pass and airs live from theĀ BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla.

In the night’s main event, the promotion’s lightweight belt was on the line between veteransĀ Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Pat Healy. The BrazilianĀ Cavalcante returned to action for the first time since late 2014. The 33-year-old was making his promotional debut after stints with WSOF, Strikeforce, Dream and K-1 Hero’s. Healy, meanwhile, looked to recapture the belt he once held and defended. The UFC, Strikeforce and IFL veteran was stripped of the belt at Titan FC 35 after missing weight. However, he bounced back at Titan FC 37, defeating Muhsin Corbbrey, and earning another shot at gold.

Two other belts were on the line at the event as featherweight championĀ Andre Harrison met challenger Deivison Ribeiro, and UFC veteransĀ Dhiego Lima and David Michaud locked horns for the vacant welterweight title.
