On Friday, July 12, Bellator MMA hosted its 224th event from the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla.

In the night’s main event, women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd put her belt on the line against undefeated Russian Olga Rubin. After opening her career at just 2-2, Canada’s Budd had reeled off 10 straight wins, including three straight title victories in the Bellator cage. The 29-year-old Rubin made her pro debut at Bellator 164 in 2016 and had accumulated six victories since to earn a shot at gold.

The action kicked off at 6:30 p.m. ET on the Bellator app. The main card was simulcast on DAZN and the Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET.
