ONE Championship returned to the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday, March 8, for ONE Championship: Reign of Valor.

ONE welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam made the first defense of his belt against former Fight Nights Global welterweight titleholder Georgiy Kichigin. Kadestam scored a last-minute knockout against Tyler McGuire in the fifth and final round of their fight to win the vacant title. Kazakhstan’s Kichigin had won 14 consecutive bouts, including 12 finishes, dating back to 2014.

In the night’s co-headliner, Myanmar’s Phoe Thaw looked to return to the win column after enduring his first pro loss in late 2018 against Keanu Subba. The 34-year-old took on Singapore’s Yohan Mulia Legowo, who had lost seven of his last nine contests.

In the evening’s Muay Thai and kickboxing action, 2014 K-1 World MAX world champion Enriko Kehl fought England’s Liam Nolan, WBC Japan champ Kenta Yamada met Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy, and tough light heavyweights Andrei Stoica and Tarik Khbabez clashed.

The preliminary card aired live at 6:30 a.m. ET on YouTube and ONE Championship’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. The main card continued live at 8:30 a.m. ET on B/R Live and ONE Championship’s App.
