On Saturday, Aug. 11, EFC Worldwide held its 72nd event from Grand West in Cape Town, South Africa.

In the night’s main event, lightweight champion Martin van Staden put his belt on the line against former champion Dave Mazany. Van Staden entered his first title defense riding a four-fight winning streak, including a second-round TKO over Gavin Hughes in March to earn the belt. Mazany had rebounded since losing the belt, scoring back-to-back knockout finishes.

The night’s preliminary card streamed live on Facebook beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET. The main card followed live at 3:30 p.m. ET on EFC Worldwide TV.
