On Saturday, Feb. 25, Kunlun Fight returned to the Mangrove Tree International Convention Center in Sanya, China for Kunlun Fight MMA 9.

In the evening’s main card action, U.S. Olympic wrestling trial winner Alesha Zappitella stayed unbeaten in her young MMA career with a submission victory over short notice replacement Ding Miao to win the Kunlun Fight women’s flyweight title. Former UFC veteran and Kunlun Fight champion Zhang Lipeng moved his win streak to 12 with a victory over former UFC lightweight Hermes Franca. Top Chinese prospect Weili Zhang continued her own winning streak with her 11th straight win against Brazil’s Nayara Hemily.

The event airs live at 22:15 CST on Thursday, March 2 on CCTV 5 (China).
