On Friday, June 17, Eurasia Fight Nights held its 50th event from the Sibur Arena in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In the night’s main event, MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko made his promotional debut against UFC veteran Fabio Maldonado.

The 39-year-old Emelianenko made a successful return to competition in December, stopping Jaideep Singh in just three minutes at Rizin FF. Since a three-fight skid that saw his release from Strikeforce, the former Pride FC champion had reeled off four straight wins.

The Brazilian Maldonado was looking to right the ship after suffering losses in three of his last four outings. The former professional boxer made 11 appearances in the Octagon, earning wins in five of those affairs. The 36-year-old had stopped 13 of his 22 wins via strikes.

Also on the card, former Bellator MMA champion Vitaly Minakov returned to action against Australia’s Peter Graham.

The event streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
