UFC Fight Night 79 Results: Henderson Edges Masvidal In Back-and-Forth Affair

On Saturday, Nov. 28, the UFC hosted UFC Fight Night 79: Henderson vs. Masvidal from the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea.

In the night’s main event, former lightweight champion Benson Henderson took on Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight affair. Henderson rebounded from back-to-back losses to current champion Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone to submit Brandon Thatch in the UFC Fight Night 60 main event in February. Masvidal entered the contest having won four of his last five, including a violent, first-round knockout of Cezar Ferreira in July.

The 11-fight event kicked off Saturday with seven preliminary card bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 5 a.m. ET. The four-fight main card took place at 8 a.m. ET, also on UFC Fight Pass.
