EFC 37: Mynhardt vs. Madge III Video Preview

On Saturday, Feb. 21, Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) will holds its 37th event which takes place at Carnival City, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The event is headlined by a lightweight title fight that pits Leon Mynhardt up against Don Madge. This fight is the third time that the pair have met, with Mynhardt walking away with a TKO victory in their first meeting which took place at EFC 13 and the two later fighting to a controversial split decision at EFC 25. Leading into the bout Mynhardt is riding a four-fight winning streak as he aims to defend his title for the third time.

The co-main event of the evening sees Adam Speechly defend his newly won welterweight title against David Buirski. The EFC welterweight title has never been successfully defended by a champion, and Speechly aims to be the one to lift the “curse” that the title carries. Buirski enters the title fight having won three straight fights, all of which came in the first round.
