On Friday, Oct. 17, Legacy Fighting Championship hosted its 36th event from the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, N.M.

In the night’s main event, the promotion’s heavyweight title was on the line as Cody East faced off with Vernon Lewis. East had compiled an 8-1 record through his first nine contests, with seven of his wins coming before the final bell. After starting his career 0-2, Texas’ Lewis had reeled off four straight wins, including three straight by strikes.

The co-main event of the evening also featured gold up for grabs as flyweights Brian Hall and Damacio Page locked horns. The Bellator and XFC veteran Hall had scored back-to-back wins, most recently besting Pedro Souza at Legacy FC 34. The UFC and WEC veteran Page had won three of his last four fights since being released from the UFC. All three of his recent wins had come inside the Legacy cage, and all three had come before the final bell.

Also on the card, TUF alum Rafael de Freitas took on Jordan Espinosa and Invicta veteran Norma Rueda Center met Michelle Nicolini.

The night’s main card aired live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
