On Friday, Sept. 26, the UFC will host the weigh-ins for UFC 178: Johnson vs. Cariaso which takes place Saturday, Sept. 27 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
In the main event of the evening, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his 125-pound title against challenger Chris Cariaso. Johnson enters the contest riding a six-fight winning streak, including four straight title defenses. The 28-year-old was last in action at UFC 174 in June, topping Ali Bagautinov by decision. Cariaso, meanwhile, carries a three-fight streak of his own. The 33-year-old striking stalwart has gone 7-3 inside the Octagon leading up to the title affair.
